What is Die-Cutting?
Die cutting is of great importance in corrugated boxes and mono boxes. When our sheet is ready for making a corrugated box, we have to cut it according to the size of the box. And creasing has to be done at the place where the box has to be turned. If we are producing boxes without dye, we will have to do this work manually. For this we have to use two machines, that is, a rotary machine and an eccentric slotter. With a rotary machine, we can do creasing of the box, and with an eccentric slotter, we can cut the corners of the box. In this, we have to use both machines separately, which takes double the time. We mostly use this machine for making master outer boxes. If the quantity of boxes is less, we can use both these machines. The finishing is also not good in this. On the contrary, to make boxes we use die-cutting machines. In a die-cutting machine, all the work is done in one go and the finishing is also good. Below we understand die-cutting machines.
Die-cutting is an important manufacturing process in the packaging industry. All types of fancy boxes can be prepared with this machine. If you know about die-cutting machines then it is good. But some of my friends who are new in the packaging industry may not know about this machine. Today I will try to give you information about the die-cutting machine.
40 years ago letterpress was used for printing. The die-cutting machine was developed from this letterpress machine. In packaging, we can make many types of boxes with die-cutting machines in which cutting, creasing, and perforation are done in one go. The process of box cutting with this machine is absolutely accurate. After the initial setting, all the sheets can be easily cut in one setting. Due to this the finishing of the box also looks very good. With a Die-cutting machine, we can make the box as per our requirements. With this, we can cut any type of shape and design.
Die is a special equipment, in which the box is shaped by applying die tool. The die tool is pressed on the sheet, then the sheet is cut to the size of the box. And our box gets ready as per our design. To give any type of design to your box, you will first have to make a die tool.
Die tools are made up of steel cutting blades and creasing blades. Cutting and creasing blades are fitted to the wooden board according to the size of the box, such as length, width, and height. Once the die is ready, it is fitted into the die machine. After setting, when we run the machine, the die tool fitted in the die machine cuts and creases the box and gives shape to the box by the pressure of the die tool on the sheet. When the die tool presses the sheet, the cutting blade cuts the sheet, and the creasing blade creates the crease of the box. Due to this, the box folds correctly. डाई कटिंग क्या है ?
नालीदार बॉक्स, और मोनो बॉक्स में डाई कटिंग का बहुत महत्व है। नालीदार बॉक्स बनाने के लिए हमारी शीट तैयार होने पर इसको हम बॉक्स के साइज के हिसाब से कटाई करनी होती है। और बॉक्स जहाँ से मुड़ना होता है, वहाँ पर क्रीसिंग करनी होती है। अगर हम बिना डाई के बॉक्स तैयार कर रहे हैं, तो हमें ये कार्य मैन्युअली करना होगा। इसके लिए हमें 2 मशीन का प्रयोग करना पड़ता ह, वो है, रोटरी मशीन और एसेन्ट्रिक स्लॉटर। रोटरी मशीन से बॉक्स की क्रीसिंग कर सकते हैं, और एसेन्ट्रिक स्लॉटर से हम बॉक्स के कार्नर कट कर सकते हैं। इसमें हमें दोनों मशीन का प्रयोग अलग-अलग करना पड़ता है, जिसमे डबल समय लगता है। इस मशीन को हम मास्टर आउटर बॉक्स बनाने में अधिकतर प्रयोग करते हैं। अगर बॉक्स की क्वांटिटी कम है, तो हम इन दोनों मशीन का प्रयोग कर सकते हैं। इसमें फिनिशिंग भी अच्छी नहीं आती है। इसके विपरीत बॉक्स बनाने केलिए हम डाई कटाई मशीन का प्रयोग करते हैं। डाई कटिंग मशीन में सारे काम एक ही बारी में हो जाते हैं और फिनिशिंग भी अच्छी आती है। नीचे हम डाई कटिंग मशीन के बारे में समझते हैं।

आज से 40 साल पहले छपाई के लिए लेटर प्रेस का प्रयोग होता था। इस लेटर प्रेस मशीन से ही डाई-कटिंग मशीन विकसित हुई है। पैकेजिंग में डाई-कटिंग मशीन से हम कई प्रकार के बॉक्स जिसमे, कटाई, क्रीसिंग, और परफुरेशन एक ही बार में हो जाती है। इस मशीन से बॉक्स कटाई की प्रक्रिया बिलकुल एक्यूरेट होती है। इसकी शुरू में सेटिंग करनेके बाद सारी शीट को एक ही सेटिंग में आसानी से काटा जा सकता है। इससे बॉक्स की फिनिशिंग भी बहुत अच्छी आती है। डाई-कटिंग मशीन से हम अपनी जरुरत के अनुसार बॉक्स को बना सकते हैं। इससे हम किसी भी प्रकार की शेप और डिज़ाइन काट सकते हैं।
डाई एक विशेष उपकरण है, जिसमे डाई टूल लगाकर बॉक्स को शेप दिया जाता है। डाई टूल को शीट पर प्रेस किया जाता है, तो शीट बॉक्स के साइज में कट जाती है। और हमारा बॉक्स हमारे डिज़ाइन के अनुसार तैयार हो जाता है। अपने बॉक्स को किसी भी प्रकार का डिज़ाइन देने के लिए आपको सबसे पहले डाई टूल बनाना होगा।
डाई टूल, स्टील के कटिंग ब्लेड्स और क्रीसिंग ब्लेड से तैयार होती है। बॉक्स के साइज, जैसे लम्बाई, चौड़ाई, और ऊंचाई के हिसाब से कटिंग और क्रीसिंग ब्लेडस को लकड़ी के बोर्ड पर फिट किये जाते हैं। डाई तैयार होने के बाद, उसको डाई मशीन में फिट किया जाता है। सेटिंग करने के बाद जब हम मशीन को चलाते हैं, तो डाई मशीन में फिटेड डाई टूल, शीट के ऊपर डाई टूल के दबाव से बॉक्स को कट और क्रीस करके बॉक्स को शेप दे देता है। जब डाई टूल शीट को प्रेस करता है, तब कटिंग ब्लेड शीट को काट देते हैं, और क्रीसिंग ब्लेड बॉक्स की क्रीज़ बना देते हैं। जिससे बॉक्स सही तरीके से मुड़ जाता है। इस डाई की सेटिंग को देखने के लिए आप मेरे यूट्यूब चैनल पर मेरा वीडियो इस लिंक पर प्रेस करके देख सकते हैं।
